![]() It's all a reminder that developers Mundfish refer to Atomic Heart as an "action RPG", suggesting Diablo and its ilk are as much a relevant point of comparison as BioShock. Each trailer is more bombastic than the last though, with this newest one featuring quick cuts, swarms of enemies and huge explosions. Here's the new "Arlekino" trailer, which features more backpedalling than a Serious Sam game:Ītomic Heart initially seemed like it might be reminiscent of Stalker and BioShock, with a striking world to explore filled with creatively-designed monsters to fight via thoughtful first-person combat. There is a new trailer however, shown tonight during The Game Awards, and it continues to convince me that Atomic Heart won't be short on spectacular setpieces. It's still coming out on February 21st, 2023. It's still a Soviet-inspired first-person shooter about battling unsettling robots in an alt-history 1950s. It can also scan the area, hack robots, and more plus, because of this companion, we'll even have more powers such as electrical and freezing abilities.There's no real news to report about Atomic Heart. We won't be entirely alone an AI companion in our experimental power glove will chat with us and give us extra info about the game. Atomic Heart will also feature spatial puzzles and plenty of things to mess with our heads. The game will take us through a number of mind-bending locations as we travel between bizarre laboratories and scientific testing grounds and complexes, as well as civilian space aboveground. ![]() These robots had apparently taken over manual labour and left humanity free to turn to other things, but everything kicks off in 1955 with a "technological nightmare."
